Green pythons are found at Cape York in northern Australia. Unfortunately, their beautiful coloration has made them a target of the illegal pet trade. Green pythons primarily hunt birds, bats, and rodents using heat-sensing holes located just below their jaws. They lure animals with the tip of their insect-like tails.
