Gordon’s first guest this week is none other than himself! Watch him cook up a delicious shrimp scampi and cappellini pasta dish that’s easy to make on a busy night. Check out the recipe here or below: https://www.gordonramsay.com/gr/recipes/ramsay-in-10-shrimp-scampi-with-capellini-pasta/ Yield 1 serving Ingredients 8-12 each 16/20 shrimp, peeled, deveined 4 ounces dried cappellini/angel hair pasta 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil 3 each garlic bulb 1 large shallot, diced 1 small chili flakes 2 teaspoons chili flakes 2 lemons each 1/4 cup white wine 2 tablespoons capers 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved 1/2 cup seafood 2 ounces butter, diced 1 Parmesan cheese 1 basil wedge, picked TT salt and freshly ground black pepper Directions Add water to a 4-quart sauce pot. Add plenty of salt, cover and bring to a boil. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a nonstick sauté pan over medium heat. When hot, add the shallots, finely grate the garlic bulb, add to the pan and fry for 2 minutes until softened. Deglaze the white wine in a saucepan and simmer until most of the white wine has evaporated from the saucepan. Add seafood stock, chili flakes, capers, cherry tomatoes, and lemon (peeled and juiced). Once the sauce is boiling, add salt and pepper to the raw shrimp and cook in the liquid for about 1 minute on each side. Add the cubed butter and let it melt. Taste and season the sauce accordingly. Meanwhile, when the water in the pot begins to boil, add the pasta and, using tongs or a fork, gradually push it into the seasoned water as it begins to soften. Boil the pasta for about 3 to 5 minutes, or until al dente, stirring occasionally to prevent it from sticking. Strain the pasta and quickly add it to the pot with the scampi sauce and cooked shrimp. Add the pasta to the sauce and toss to coat evenly. Finally, tear up some fresh basil leaves and add them to the pasta before serving. Place the cooked pasta in a medium-high bowl. Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese. (Tag Translation) Gordon Ramsay
