April was born at the zoo and is one of the zoo’s stars. Koalas sleep a lot! Up to 22 hours a day. This is because they eat eucalyptus leaves, which do not contain much energy. Eucalyptus leaves provide most of the koala’s moisture, so koalas rarely come down to the ground to drink. Cast Robert and Bindi Irwin staff.
