Natori City, Miyagi Prefecture, has signed a partnership agreement with a pharmaceutical wholesaler in Sendai City to step up efforts to improve the health of its citizens. Natori City Mayor Shiro Yamada said, “I hope that we can work together with Vital Net using our respective knowledge so that we can care for the lives and health of our citizens.” Natori City has entered into an agreement with Vital Net, a pharmaceutical wholesaler. The agreement calls for the two countries to work together in six areas to prevent diseases such as lifestyle-related diseases, cancer, and infectious diseases, and to promote health. Natori City also plans to plan health promotion activities in conjunction with Vital Net-affiliated medical institutions. Seiya Asano, manager of Vital Net’s Minami branch in Sendai, said, “I think there are many issues such as infectious diseases, lifestyle-related diseases, and mental health care. I want to work with Natori City to educate residents about various things. and take early countermeasures.” This is the first time in the prefecture that Vital Net has entered into such an agreement with the local government.
