Descriptions:
A roadside station in Kesennuma City developed a craft beer made from local Otani potatoes and began selling it on the 14th. The craft beer “OHYA TATER” is now sold at the Otani Kaigan roadside station. In an effort to revive the “Baron” potato “Otani Potato”, which was once considered the best in Japan in taste and quality, we have been using locally grown potatoes as raw materials and seaweed as fertilizer for the past four years. Customer: “My expectations are high because (the raw material) is potatoes, so the quantity is unknown.” The craft beer was made in collaboration with a local brewery and has a refreshing taste with a slight lime aroma. Otani Kaigan roadside station Station manager Masamichi Onodera: “We wanted to create a new processed product using Otani potatoes.” A total of 2,000 cans of this beer will be sold at roadside stations and breweries.
