Descriptions:

On November 28, Tohoku Electric Power Company announced the electricity bill for next January, saying that the average model household will pay 52 yen less than the previous month. According to Tohoku Electric Power, the electricity bill used in December and billed in January next year will be 8,730 yen for a typical household with average consumption, down 52 yen from the previous month. On the other hand, the price is the fourth highest since 1996, when the fuel price adjustment system was introduced, and continues to remain high. Government subsidies due to soaring electricity rates ended with the November bill, but the government has decided to renew them from February to April next year. The subsidy amount is 2.5 yen per kilowatt-hour in February and March and 1.3 yen in April.
