After suddenly going blind and stranded in a shelter, she is slowly regaining her independence and love for life. Her owners couldn’t figure out what was wrong with her and left her at the shelter, shaking and terrified. Her feeling of dizziness was so strong that she could not stand or walk. When the shelter asked for help, the Bill Foundation in Los Angeles, California, responded. Tessa was removed from the shelter and taken to a neurologist who diagnosed her with hydrocephalus, or cerebral edema. Tessa is responding positively to current treatments, but her vision may never return. She is becoming more mobile. Her sense of smell and hearing compensate for her lack of vision. Thanks to Annie Hart of the Bill Foundation, Tessa is getting her life back. She needs a home with a family who loves her for who she is now.
