PLOT
A mountain hike, a secret bear, an unexpected betrayal, and a chav party in the woods will forever change Argyro’s relation with her best friend Anneta.
The story begins when 19-year-old Argyro learns that her childhood friend, Anneta, is pregnant and plans to move with her boyfriend to the city, abandoning the village where they grew up. Fulfilling an old promise, the two friends decide to go to the legendary bearcave “Arkoudotrypa”‘, where they will face their deepest fears. A journey through the mountainous landscape of Greece “Arkoudotrypa” is a tender film about adulthood, friendship and love, which talks about queer relationships in the countryside, especially between women, who we rarely see depicted on screen. It deals with both the conflict and the harmony between the traditional and the modern, combining the folklore of the place with the personal experiences of the creators..
