Today our Thai friend Ek takes us on a street food tour through Sathorn, one of Bangkok’s most underrated neighborhoods, where we discover hidden restaurants, family-run businesses, and some of the most delicious Thai food we’ve eaten since moving here over a year ago.
Instead of visiting the usual tourist hotspots, we’re invited behind the scenes into local kitchens, meet the incredible people who have spent decades perfecting their recipes, hear the stories behind these family businesses, and taste everything from smoky grilled satay and rich Rad Na (ราดหน้า) to delicious Pad See Ew (ผัดซีอิ๊ว) and plenty of surprises along the way. Needless to say, we will NOT leave this video feeling hungry.
The best part? Ek lives in Sathorn, so almost everyone knows him. That means we get to experience a side of Bangkok that most visitors never see, filled with genuine conversations, warm hospitality, and unforgettable food.
