We recently went to Bangkok for the first time. Korean spring is now in full swing. Cherry blossoms have come and gone, the trees are turning green, and the air finally feels warm again. It’s hard to believe that not long ago there was still snow on the streets of Seoul. Impatient for spring and craving a bit of warmth, we escaped winter last January – to Thailand. Here’s how it all began~
We kick off our Bangkok travel series by leaving a freezing, snowy January in South Korea behind. We make a pit stop at the Korean Air Prestige Lounge at Incheon Airport, survive the flight to Southeast Asia, and navigate the city’s MRT subway system. Finally, we check into our beautiful room at the Eastin Grand Hotel Phayathai for a special wedding anniversary surprise, waking up to palm trees, shorts, and sunscreen.
