Based on a couple of short stories by the renowned feminist writer Gauri Deshpande, Aamhi Doghi tells the story of an unusual friendship between Savi, a young independent girl and Ammi, her stepmother. It is a sensitive, engaging film relevant to this day and age , as it discusses the meaning of modernity, feminism and freedom.
