抗美援朝對峙階段，主力部隊接獲全線轉移命令。一支志願軍小分隊本可以跟隨大部隊安全撤離，然而兩名深入敵後的偵察兵失聯，手握敵軍秘密武器情報，一旦被俘將嚴重影響整體戰局。指揮部下達極限任務：12 小時穿插敵佔區，營救戰友、銷毀機密裝備，同步掩護戰區平民撤離。
小隊放棄撤退選擇逆向奔赴砲火中心，無援軍、補給匱乏，直面裝備全面佔優的敵軍，歷經多場慘烈叢林、村落血戰，最終近乎全員犧牲，僅有極少數倖存者完成任務。
During the stalemate phase of the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea, the main force received orders to redeploy across the entire front. A small Volunteer Army unit could have safely withdrawn with the main body; however, two scouts operating deep behind enemy lines had lost contact. Carrying intelligence on a secret enemy weapon, their capture would have severely jeopardized the overall strategic situation. Command issued a mission of extreme difficulty: infiltrate enemy-held territory within 12 hours to rescue their comrades, destroy the classified equipment, and simultaneously cover the evacuation of civilians from the war zone.
Forgoing the option to retreat, the squad charged into the heart of the battle. Without reinforcements and critically short on supplies, they confronted an enemy possessing vastly superior weaponry. After enduring a series of brutal, bloody clashes in jungles and villages, the unit suffered near-total casualties, with only a handful of survivors successfully completing the mission.
