In Episode 10, Lê Băng forces herself to remain focused while performing emergency surgery on a critically injured patient.

During the vascular repair, a contaminated curved needle accidentally punctures her right glove.
“Chief Lê, the needle went through the glove.”
Lê Băng immediately follows surgical protocol, changes her sterile gown and gloves, then returns to complete the operation.
“The patient cannot wait. Continue.”
The surgery succeeds—but the source patient’s HIV test is positive.
Although Lê Băng knows she must undergo an immediate occupational-exposure evaluation, emotional exhaustion drives her away from the hospital.
When Thanh Vy learns what happened, she rushes to the penthouse. But the access Lê Băng once gave her has been revoked, and the door remains closed.
Thanh Vy believes Lê Băng is hiding because of the medical risk.
She does not yet know that Lê Băng came home early and heard the truth about their relationship.

Lê Băng can no longer distinguish love from deception.
