In Episode 8, Lê Băng and Thanh Vy spend their first night apart.
One woman waits inside a quiet penthouse in Saigon.
The other stands beside a hotel window in Singapore.
Six days remain before Lê Băng is supposed to return.
Yet even across two cities, they have already learned the small habits of people in love.
“Did you eat?”
“Is that a medical question?”
“No. Just me.”
But the more gently Lê Băng loves her, the more Thanh Vy fears the truth she continues to hide.
At the hospital, a patient conceals his last dose of anticoagulant because he is afraid his surgery will be postponed. Thanh Vy stops the operation before the unspoken risk becomes uncontrolled bleeding.
She tells him:
“A risk doesn’t disappear because no one names it.”
Khoa hears more than medical judgment in those words.
“Whatever you’re postponing, don’t let it become an emergency.”
Outside the operating room, Thanh Vy still cannot follow her own advice.
Ngọc Trâm no longer asks who she loves. She asks what Thanh Vy intends to do about the two women trapped inside a plan that should have ended long ago.
That night, Thanh Vy finally comes close to confessing:
“Lê Băng, if I ever did something terrible…”
Lê Băng answers with complete trust:
“Then tell me before I hear it from someone else.”
Thanh Vy begins to say the word “plan.”
Then she loses her courage.
Believing she still has until tomorrow, Thanh Vy invites Ngọc Trâm to her old apartment and promises to tell Lê Băng everything when she returns.
But in Singapore, a simple message about a bowl of porridge changes Lê Băng’s plans.
She takes the earliest flight home.
She buys pale blush peonies.
And when the florist asks whether they are for someone special, Lê Băng answers without hesitation:
“Yes. My girlfriend.”
She arrives outside Thanh Vy’s door carrying flowers, love and absolute trust.
Then she hears a familiar voice inside.
First, Lê Băng recognizes Ngọc Trâm.
Then she realizes Thanh Vy knows her.
And finally, she hears the words that fracture everything:
“This was your plan, Vy.”
