Two gay venues, 2 minutes apart, two completely different worlds. First: BoyCamp Bangkok, the newest gay cruising bar in Silom on Patpong Road. Foxy, the host, walked me through the venue — lockers, shower room, glory holes, curtained play areas, mirrors, a bar with free lube and condoms, and their famous phase system where clothes come off after 2:00 a.m. Then: Horn Bangkok on Soi Silom 4. Berlin techno energy in the heart of Bangkok’s gay district. Industrial design, its own DJs, a proper dance floor, and a dark room with a mobile sling that only opens for big events like Songkran and Bangkok Pride. Same neighborhood, completely different vibes. If BoyCamp is Bangkok being Bangkok, Horn is Bangkok pretending it’s Berlin.
