After having the opportunity to view the beautiful coming of age queer film BLACK BURNS FAST at the 2026 Berlinale in February this year, Sandulela Asanda’s film came to the UK for the 40th edition of BFI Flare. After reaching out to Asanda, I had the chance to sit down with her and discuss her feature length directorial debut.
