On today’s episode of A Slice of Lizanya, we start off strong with Tanya having a crash out. As millennials, we think it’s totally valid—we’ve lived through A LOT of world events and obstacles throughout our relatively short lifespan, and honestly, we’re not asking for much out of this life!
Piggybacking off the millennial crash out, we take a trip down memory lane with some 90s nostalgia, including Beanie Babies, childhood hand-clapping games, and the simple joys of growing up before everything was online.
Of course, we also cover some of our favorite topics: Taylor Swift and Disney (which is absolutely not just for kids!). We chat about Taylor’s appearance at the Toy Story 5 premiere, (sidebar: we are obsessed with her new song “I Knew It, I Knew You,”) and why Disney movies continue to resonate with audiences of all ages, and isn’t just for kids.
Plus, we discuss how excited we are to see what happens with “The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo” adaptation directed by Anna Kendrick (we still stand by that it should be a limited series not a movie), “The Nightingale” starring Dakota and Elle Fanning, revisit Thumbelina starring Jodi Benson (the voice of Ariel in The Little Mermaid), and debate whether Shrek is actually better in Spanish—Liz certainly thinks so!
