Alison, a young woman whose entire emotional life has been organized around managing her mother’s feelings following a messy divorce. Stifled by intense family expectations, secret bullying from her peers, and a forced entry into the pageant world when she really just wants to play soccer, Alison is a teenager in absolute crisis. Completely starved for genuine connection, her world changes when her mother hires Charlotte, a bubbly and deeply empathetic pageant coach.
